Heroes with cold, and wet noses

Lisa Zang and Dakota, the German Shepherd, are nearly inseparable.

"She amazes me every day," Lisa says, "She's a great partner."

The duo works at a Michigan hospital answering the call, Lisa says, when there is danger, "If they were to find a suspicious package or somebody came in with firearms, that wasn't supposed to be there."

Dakota is what's called a "single purpose" detection dog. She focuses on one thing, finding explosives. Quite simply, Dakota knows that when she locks in on that scent and sits, she gets to play.
